Breakroom Address

Project type

Signs

This piece was created for a favored local bar—one deeply rooted in community and familiarity rather than novelty. The request was simple: carve the address in a way that felt permanent, identifiable, and true to the space it represents.
Rocky Shores Woodworks designed and carved the numbers directly into solid wood, keeping the form bold and legible while allowing the material’s texture to remain visible beneath the surface. The red finish was chosen to stand out without decoration, giving the piece presence while still feeling appropriate to its environment.
More than signage, the carving serves as a marker. It identifies a place people return to—where conversations repeat, routines settle in, and familiarity outweighs formality. The piece wasn’t meant to compete with the space it hangs in, but to belong to it.
Built once and created specifically for this location, the work reflects the idea that even the simplest objects can carry meaning when tied to a place that matters.
